"Mom" has true mother instincts. She lets the baby go ahead --- to keep track of him/her. She gently guides the baby between her trunk and her front leg. The dear baby is safe, learning independence and feeling loved! And --- going for a walk with Mom!

I think I mentioned years ago that I enjoyed the book, "The Elephant Whisperer", by Lawrence Anthony. I just finished another, by his widow, Francois Anthony, "An Elephant in My Kitchen." Enjoyed that one too
