Whoa wouldn't like to meet him on a rocky outcrop.

All the scans came back with acceptable levels which was cause for relief. However I now have what feels like a stiff neck from the hairline above the neck down to my buttocks. I have worked out it must be arthritis and have been neglecting taking my ginger drink for a couple of months. Made up another lot today, so we will see how that goes. Usually get relief in a few days. Lots of hugs.

Ichi - the ginger drink is made up from 1" raw ginger grated, 1 cup boiling water and a sweetener. I make enough for about four days. Mix it all together and put it in the fridge overnight, pour off the ginger in the morning and have a small glass of the juice. I also put the ginger on the garden, so none of it goes to waste. I have been back on it for about four days now and the change is no9thing less than remarkable. The pain is all but gone and I feel human again. Shop around for the ginger as it is different in the supermarket, green grocer and Aldi. I have a lady who comes to see me once a fortnight and she gets it for me at the Sunday market - quite a large piece for $4.00 - I bought some at Aldi today as I had run out and it was nearly $25.00 a kg and then went to the green grocer and it was down to $16.00. I know for certain it works, just have to persevere. Hugs ichi.

Bless the lady who shops for you at the Sunday market - that's a real cost savings! So glad the drink works for you, aussie, and that you're feeling more like your old self! (And I didn't mean in age! )

HAPPY BIRTHDAY aussie!!

How much sweetener do you put in your ginger drink?

My hubby and I have discovered the wonderful benefit of taking 1 tablespoon of honey right before we go to sleep. With his MS he has seldom had a decent night's sleep and when he sleeps he has violent dreams (the violence is done TO him). When he's taken honey before bedtime he sleeps well and longer and he didn't have any dreams! Praise God and those wonderful honeybees.

Hi trynfindit, I make up enough to fill a pyrex teapot and so as couple of teaspoons of sugar is enough. Some amazing benefits of honey, unfortunately not so good for diabetics.

Thank you for your birthday greetings, last one in my 70's so making the most of it lol. My sister and a friend are taking me out to lunch. Hugs.

Your birthday outing sounds a lot of fun.

And thanks for the sweetener amount.

I suppose for a Type 1 diabetic the honey before bedtime might not be good but I'm a Type 2 and I read that the increase in blood glucose is relatively short. The honey causes the body to release tryptophan which aids sleep.

Don't want to tangle with those horns! Beautiful animal.

You learn more from failure than from success. Don't let it stop you. Failure builds character.

Aknan, can't help you with that. You are "on your own". Sorry! Finally got my banking settled with the bank. I finally went from failure to success. I got what I wanted. You can do that also.

She says it was "infinitely easier." I knew that, but the poor thing had such a hard time the first time (and baby was in hospital for nearly a month as a preemie) that she was really scared. And of course fear doesn't make it easier.
