Where was the blizzard? My daughter called last night and said they had about 2 inches of snow in Northeast Pa. I thought they would get more than, especially with the "Bomb cyclone".

I need to call my daughter tonight and see how she and her grandfather are doing. They live in an old and drafty house that loses a lot of heat. I wanted them to here with us in VA. but Dad has been in that house over 60 years and will not move.

Your daughter lives with your Dad- that is so nice! Hope they are ok. The "Bomb Genesis" and subsequent freezing temps have been tough.

"Dad" is actually my father-in-law. I have referred to him as Dad since my husband and I started dating more than 40 years ago. The weather in PA has been brutal as along the whole east coast. An online school friend of mine lives in Florida and they have been getting freezing temps along with snow.

Beautiful picture but it makes me feel colder than I am. We had several school closing s and delays here in Virginia because of the cold weather.

They don't do that in Southern Ontario unless the water pipes freeze. And some of the older towns have schools that still do that. They just keep them inside at recess. And yeah, with the wind chill we're getting -32 C. Keep in mind that -40 is the same in C and F. Stay warm!
