I love chocolate too much! I've had to step away from my Christmas baking for a few days, I'm eating the chocolate chips! lol If I can bake things, get them cooled down, wrapped and in the freezer fast enough that lust of the chocolate doesn't overcome my oh, so weak determination! I think I may need to go to chocoholics anonymous!
I'm with you rahrah - they either go into the freezer or packed up and delivered to friends right away! I'm going to make spinach balls today to take to a party tonight- can't get in too much trouble with those!

Lol! I've never heard of spinach balls, but I think I'd like them, not as much as chocolate, but they'd be safer!
2 beaten eggs, 1/2 cup flour, 1 T baking powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp ground nutmeg, 1/2 cup milk, 2 10oz pkges cooked spinach drained well and squeezed dry, 8 oz shredded cheddar, place in 10 x 7 baking dish w/2 Tbsps melted butter. Top with 1 Tbsp grated parmesan. Bake at 375 for 30-35 minutes and cut into bars (or you can roll into balls and place on cookie sheet) Delicious!

I'm going to be making this especially for my granddaughter, who is a vegetarian. I'm always looking for good recipes for her, and this one looks like it fits the bill.
I'll take the white ones and you can have the dark.

It's always interesting to see how much you missed at first glance. I looked and saw white chocolate with a dark choc shell and visa versa and all had nuts. Then on working the puzzle I saw not all dark chocolate had white shells. Then I saw not all white choc had dark almonds. Some had light cashews. And then I saw one had a milk choc shell. There aren't any dark choc with milk choc shells tho.

:))) Keep trying to convince your doctor. :))) Love dark chocolate with raisins, so addictive. Have you ever had those large dried apricots dipped in dark chocolate, wonderful. Used to make them for the holidays, many moons ago. :)

Tomandray you're wicked. That apricot in chocolate sounds too good. I've always loved raisinettes and chunkies but I think they're milk choc. I don't enjoy the really dark stuff.

Crlyb: I'm lactose intolerant also but I take a lactose defense pill every night and eat what I want. So far so good. If you want to try it let me know and I'll give more info.

Chocolate comes from a plant, just like fruits and vegetables.

Crly, I don't think lactose intolerance pills have any side effects. Surely they are available in the UK. Would be worth a look.

Hi Crlyblonde, Pixipixil is right, lactose intolerant people have a fix for anything with milk in the ingredients panel. No need to do without. I have taken Lactaid pills now and then for milk and ice cream. You should be able to find it at your drug store. Just ask the pharmacist for lactose intolerant pills, they should be near the indigestion meds, like Rolaids and Tums. Hope you can find them. Then you can enjoy chocolate again. :)
