I will not be visiting San Francisco and Concord, Calif. for my Birthday after all.:( My Children's Dad is very ill in the Hospital.:( I have a whole Life ahead to visit.:) My Daughter and Son-In-Law live in Concord.
So nice to see this beautiful sight and so hard to think that in a few weeks this will be nothing but a picture and memories.I think it is always a nice day to go to San Francisco be proud that someone in your family had a hand in this.

Starrphyre, on Labor day weekend this eastern side of the bridge was replaced by the opening of the new bridge. the old one will take about 3 years to tear down so they won't cause harm to the environment as the bay is home to many species.there are some nice pictures if you Google Bay Bridge.I haven't seen the new one yet, I hear it is nice, but the old one looks so Majestic, what a shame it was so damaged in the 1989 earthquake.Oh well someday my younger grandchildren will think of today's bridge as the old one.
