My dear Barbaranne, how dreadful to read this sad news about Jude, poor little boy, how can this happen to such a 6 weeks old baby! I will do a long prayer for him as I go to bed, in my every day prayers I always joins all my friends

The boy has a beautiful name....St. Jude is the Saint of the Impossible, so I firmly believe the child will recover.

Poor, sweet baby, and his family must be so worried and frightened, I'll say a prayer for all and keep them in my thoughts.

I have already said a prayer for Jude. I'm curious about how the blockage happend and where it is in his brain It sounds so similar to what happened to my daughter when she was born. I had placenta previa and she had a cerebral hemmorage just before or during her premature birth. Blood clots caused the blockage in her brain and at the time she had to wait until she weighed 5 pounds (which turned out to be about a month after she was born) to have surgery to put in a shunt. In the meantime, cerebral/spinal fluid was building up in the ventricles in the center of her brain. The doctors used to stick a needle into the center of her brain and draw off fluid. She ended up needing 5 shunt surgeries during her 2nd and 3rd months of life because of blood clots colgging up the shunt. Hopefully they have come up with a better system in the last 30 years...

God bless you and your entire family, I know how rough it can be being the parent/grandparent of an unhealthy baby.

I just read of dear little Jude. My grandson is just 4 weeks old and I can't imagine the worry and pain his parents are going through right now. Add my prayers to everyone elses and let us know how he does. God bless you too!

Barbaranne - How did Jude's surgery go? Please let us know the outcome of his situation.

It went reasonably but he has gone down since and the last 2 days have bought no improvement.

Just keep praying for him! Every post of yous, Barbaranne, sounds exactly like the story of my daughter. My church and everyone I know was praying for her and she finally pulled through, but it took 3.5 months. She's still here today, 29 years old. She has brain damage, but I still love her!

I have been remiss in not keeping you informed of Judes progress, he is doing as well as he can, Jude has some brain damage not really serious damage but enough to frustrate him, a frustrated 3yr old...oh wow not easy to handle, he is trying to walk and as yet he as not conquered it..he will,

Prayers coming for Jude and you and Jude's parents. Glad he made it through and hopfully the damage will "only" affect motor skills. I believe as you do that Jude will conquer walking and much much more. Perhaps in the near future a way will be found to repair the damage.

Sometimes these things take a little bit of time AND YES I will add my prayers too.
