My Irish ancestors who emigrated to the US well before the Potato Famine must have been hardier than we are. Sleeping under a sod roof must have included experiencing bugs, worms, snakes and small varmints dropping onto the Irish of old. Actually these were common in many countries.
Love the quotes, Phyliss Diller was hilarious. I have enjoyed her since I was a kid. Be safe Aussie my friend, hope you are well. I am slowly getting better. Take care.

Hi darambo, glad you are improving and hopefully more comfortable. Cold here again this morning and have to do a load of washing and hang it out. However, we have been told it will be a beautiful day to enjoy the sunshine. Hugs.

Was it Phyllis who said she didn't clean her oven until she could bake only one cupcake at a time?

I found this for you, Starrphyre, and yes, it was Phyllis Diller: There is such a build up of crud in my oven there is only room to bake a single cupcake.
I knew this was from Ireland before I finished and read the caption. I loved looking at all the old falling down building like this in Ireland. They do tell a tale.
still looks sad
QUOTES - The only thing domestic about me is I was born in this country.
PHYLLIS DILLER,
Housework can't kill you, but why take a chance?
PHYLLIS DILLER, END
Good night and God bless. Hugs.
