I love orange and yellow flowers. They are so beautiful that it just lifts your spirits. I needed something cheerful this morning. I took my hubby to the ER this morning at 6 because he couldn't breathe when he was laying down in bed. They tested him and he has strep. His throat is so swollen that it was closed. Keep him in your prayers because at 73, that is NOT the time to get strep. Blessings to all.

Nborchardt sorry to hear your hubby is sick, strep can be so very bad. Said a prayer for him and for you. My son has gets strep or scarlett fever which is a form of strep at the drop of a hat, both can be dangerous. You are both in my thoughts. Watch yourself, if you start feeling sick see the doctor right away as strep is contagious, but I'm sure you know that. Be safe.

Thank you to everyone who sent prayers. He told me to tell you that your prayers worked. He slept pretty well last night. Went out and got the paper this morning with our Yorkie. Still has a lot of mucus, but the change from yesterday is wonderful, as all of you are. God bless and thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Well, he is in the hospital because the strep caused abscesses in his neck. We're hoping that the antibiotics they are giving him will take care of the infections and they won't have to operate.

Nborchardt sorry things are not as well as we were all hoping. He is still in my prayers and 2 extra prayers one for you...you must be tired and worried. Are there any family or friends with you? And the third is that he will be home for the holiday. Be safe

They released him with a prescription for amoxicillin. Let's hope this does the job!! Thank you all for your good wishes and prayers. You all are wonderful!!
Hi folks, so sorry for being absent these past couple of weeks. Had quite a nasty fall and went to one doctor who didn't check me out properly6 and said I hd just torn a ligament in my right neck, then I got a huge bruise on the left side of my neck and one about 3 inches wide and six inches long on my rigt chest on down. Then I had a huge swelling come out on the left side and went to another doctor. He ordred a scan and apparently I have thrombosis (blood puddle) on both sides of my neck. So have been feeling a bit sore and sorry and going to bed early.

Aussie, is it possible to drain those puddles and speed the healing along, or does the blood just have to be reabsorbed into your body? You have really been missed here (and everywhere! ) May your healing continue. Hugs.

Aknan - it is actually thrombosis, which is a lot more serious than I thought. Just have to take it easy and I wrote a longer note in answer to the first response. Love you heaps and thank you and all you lovely caring folks on here. Thanks to Kevin and staff who make all this possible. Hugs.
I am late on this one, or early for today's. Not much sleep. Just found out a dear friend has bladder cancer at age 40. He has already had 2 surgeries and is trying to keep cheerful, dealing with a catheter and all the discomfort that implies. Not a nice Christmas present, as he said. His name is Andres if anyone wants to help pray.
