My little 4 foot tree goes in my front window. It takes up some of the cat space, but they don't bother the tree. They just sleep around it! It's all decorated so all I have to do is set it in the window and plug in the lights. When time is over, it goes on top of my small freezer in the garage until the next year. I put some wreaths on the front of my house, but my niece and her husband put it up for me and take it down when over. Not an easy puzzle.
I'm afraid my ornaments don't get put away as neatly as these, but they seem to survive year to year in spite of me! It is February now so we can look forward to Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's, Easter, etc. etc. Christmas will be here again before we know it!
As we get ready to begin Lent this week, I too am amazed at the passage of time. It seems as if it was just Christmas and now we get ready for Easter. How true, when one is old, time just flies by. Sometime, my days seem so long when I don't have much to do but then the week has flown by. When I was young, I used to tell my students, "Don't ever wish the time away; it will pass before you know it." Now time is most precious to us!
Hope you all have a ball this Christmas season. In fact hope you have dozens...in pretty colors. Still hoping to get my cards done. I got started by finding the address tags and transferring them to the new computer but some had old addresses and I didn't have enough cards. Now I have everything but the stamps so I have to discipline myself to sit down for several hours and get them done.
And several hours is a very long time with so many puzzles just waiting to be played with, eh Pixi?? Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, & Happy New Year to all!!!
Love the bright color puzzles, I am a bright person and hard to focus on dull! Christmas is my favorite time of year! I am so blessed that after 47 years my boys still come for Christmas breakfast, and their wives love it!
Sounds unbelievably wonderful. I have a daughter who refuses to have any contact with me since I got married again on 8 September 2012 and unfortunately that cuts my two grandchildren out of my life as well, one has just turned 14 and the other is 12. My husband is American and whenever we go shopping, he wishes all the check out operators Merry Christmas. Things are turning here in Australia as well with the happy holiday bit. Very sad but for the moment a fact of life. Hugs.
My husband read all your messages and asked me to convey his thanks and gratitude for your kindness and prayers. As do I.
"Christmas gift suggestions: To your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a good example. To yourself, respect." ~ Oren Arnold (1900-1980), American author.
"I have always thought of Christmas as a good time; a kind, forgiving, generous, pleasant time; a time when men and women seem to open their hearts freely, and so I say, God bless Christmas! " Charles Dickens (1812-1870),
The three years I taught music we did a version of the Christmas Carol as a musical I wrote for the kids. They did everything from the parts to changing scenery, lighting and sound effects. We all had a Dickens of a time and loved every minute. So God bless you every one.
Love the Arnold quote. It would serve as a good guide for all 365.

Love your quotes, I think I will share this, perfect to reflect and work on these things! And yes lets keep Christmas our focus. Love correcting people when they say Happy Holiday. I remind them it has been America's tradition for 273 years to say Merry Christmas! Lets keep our country faithful!
hope things are better for you both today
