From the thumbnail I thought he wasn't, but put together I think he is real. And a handsome fellow at that.

He's real. Also alive. We have lots of these birds in my area; years ago a clandestine shipment was caught at the airport and some of the birds escaped. They have thrived.
He'd make a good friend for Kermit. They could commiserate over being green.
I enjoy watching videos of parrots on youtube. They sure do come in the most wonderful color combinations

One of those people who know everything (just ask em, they'll tell you) told me that "parrots can't stand round cages, they need corners." Yet in the wild they nest in hollow branches and tree trunks...not many corners in nature!
