Lovely flowers - some of them have a beautiful smell, others just look beautiful as does most of God's creations - not so sure about the hippopotamus though lol.

Good night and God bless - air conditioned bedroom is beckoning me. Hugs.

I'll bet the other hippos think they're beautiful! ;-)

A/C: I'm sitting here in flannel pj's with the heater running, wishing it was warmer! ah, but spring is coming...eventually...

Love the smell of lilies. The Asian trumpet lily trees are the best for that. They perfume my whole garden. I lost more than half of them to a red beetle and the chipmunks so I have bought more to put in. I will be ready with defensive measures next spring!

Well those little devils. They are so cute though. What will your defensive measures against them be?

When my Son and Daughter were small, we took them to the San Diego Zoo. We saw a hippototamus. My Ex Husband said they were so ugly! I told him their Mama did not think so! LOL!!!!!

I agree but I think manatees and sloths are even uglier, also baboons.

Trynfindit--I am going to make hardware cloth cages for the bulbs. It won't be foolproof because the cages have to be open on top so the lily can grow up from it but it should minimize the likelihood (humph. How do yo spell that anyway. With or without the "e" it still looks wrong)of their being eaten. Of course I have to use insecticide for the beetles. I did use it once last year and it worked but they hatch more than once so I'll have to keep up this time.

I LOVE hippos. They are so funny looking and cute. Love their ears. God less all the creatures as they were made special by Him. Not so sure about snakes and creepy crawlies. God bless and have a great evening. And in your case Aussie, a wonderful day.

Mamag:
There's this book I read--silly one--where a hippo disappears from the circus and this private eye has to find her. Do you think you'd be interested in it?

Yes I would. It sounds like a good mystery book.

Okay. Well it's called Three Rings for Brooklyn and it's on Kindle or maybe Amazon or both. I forget now. It's by Kate Segall. Let me know if you like the free opening pages.
