Thank you nhoward. I have a dr appointment on the 4th of next month. I am having a lotof shoulder pain that goes goes goes up to my neck and sometimes down my arm. I am not sure if it arthritis or bursitis that is bothering it. I just pray that I won't have to miss time from work, I can't afford it.

Thank you for the prayers. My shoulder is hurting so bad I am having trouble sleeping. I tried everything I can think of and still no relief.

Trys supporting your neck. It may seem like your shoulder but could actually be a neck problem.
I injured myself many years ago and the pain was excriciating then. It went on for 6 months. I found relief by making a home made neck brace with a hand towel and an ace bandage. Also making very big circle rotations like a back stroke helped put whatever was out of place into a better spot.

I did go to the Dr's yesterday and had xrays done. She also put me on Naproxen 500 MG. The medicine is working. I just pray that it is nothing serious. As soon as I get the results I will let you know what the problem is with my shoulder. Physical Therapy was also suggested.

I see an orthopedic surgeon this Friday the 13th. I am not sure of the damage yet, but I know there is no cure for it. I am now getting tingly feelings up and down my whole arm.

Sounds like a touch of neuropathy, mamag - could be a pinched nerve. Keep me posted, please - I have severe neuropathy in both feet and take gabapentan for that. Not fun.

Aknan, The x-rays did show arthritis which runs rampant on my mom's side of the family. I am talking
500 mgs of naproxen. It was so bad the other night I took 1500 mgs. It kept me going pretty much most of the day. By the end of the night, I was in a lot of pain again.

Hi Mamag. My mother was told to tke this and end up with a bleeding ulcer that put her in the hospital.
The Mayo clinic advises 1500 as top dose for the entire day (unless I read it wrong). Please be careful. Here is the website. Scroll down to precautions.

I agree with pixi about the naproxen - it's very hard on your stomach, even more so than aspirin (which is the only painkiller I can take.) Don't take it on an empty stomach, if possible - have a cracker or bite of fruit when you take the meds. Osteoarthritis is sneaky. I have it in my spine and those vertebrae are compressing. Luckily, it doesn't hurt, but I'm getting shorter!

We ditched cable tv and went to streaming. Saves us money.

I don't know about streaming but when my niece gets back from visiting her daughters in SanDiego I will have her or her husband see what they can do for me. In the meantime I just signed up for regular "basic" TV and internet and phone. It's a lot to pay but there is only me and I might as well enjoy my money since I did do much saving in order to get to this point! I really am very fugal with my money!
