That looks heavy. Wonder how they got the rock on top of the others.

From Wiki: A dolmen is a type of single-chamber megalithic tomb, usually consisting of two or more upright megaliths supporting a large flat horizontal capstone. Most date from the Late Neolithic period (4000–3000 BC) and were sometimes covered with earth or smaller stones to form a tumulus (burial mound). In many instances, the covering has eroded away, leaving only the stone "skeleton".

This is how my back feels today--hurts and is stiff! Must have slept wrong last night. Had never hurt for this long.
Looks interesting.

Happiness is the richest thing we will ever own. Have a great day.

Love, love love the quote. We keep searching for happiness and forget to see what is in front of us. And if we are blessed with happiness, what else could we possible need in life? Blessings, elijah13!!

What makes happiness so precious is precisely the fact that we DON'T own it: all we can do is enjoy it and try to share it.

Amazing how they managed to get that top piece up without a forklift!

My guess is they buried the upright slabs in sand and or dirt tne pushed the flat rock over them. Finally they dug away the sand.

I think the dirt was filled in and a mound built over the whole thing.
