We used to have an 800 gallon koi pond in our front yard. They are like having children needing almost constant care. lol. They are cold water fish and, during our hot n.e. Fla summers, we had to freeze water in gallon milk jugs to put in the pond to lower the temperature of the water. After several years we closed the pond out. :\
