I dislike this stuff, cannot understand why anyone should want to eat it, it is like eating cardboard.
Seems that I may end up in hospital again, I have to go back to hospital on Maundy Thursday to find out what as been decided, Proff says he is not waiting for years this time, that is kind of him. God bless you all and keep yoou safe.
Barb, so sorry this has become an issue again but praise God that the Proff will not 'wait for years this time'.
By the way, since popcorn isn't to your taste, what is your favorite snack?

Oh Barbaranne, I'm so sorry. I have a habit of shortening names of people, places and other things but will certainly use the full spelling of your name (which is really pretty, by the way) in the future.
I love fruit too. Just about any kind but my favorites would have to be strawberries, pineapple, oranges and apples.
Hugs

I like grapefruit too but am not supposed to eat it as it counteracts with some of my medications.
This is just a thought but, do you get to eat much grapefruit? Do you suppose it could be affecting how your leg ulcer heals?

Grapefruit is a rare treat I am sorry to say, a lot of people here are on Statins so it makes it difficult, I was on a Statin that disallowed g'fruit but got the doc to change it.
This reminded me of a conversation I just had the other day with a co-worker. She had taken her kids and their friends to a movie recently and she said she wasted almost 100 dollars on the movie and snacks and the kids didn't even really want the popcorn. She said that another mistake she made was not going to a matinee. I haven't been to the movies in awhile but I knew they were getting pretty high the last time I went. I remember when tickets were under ten dollars and snacks were under 5. Boy, have times changed and most movies aren't even worth that much anymore. I also remember when instead of going to a regular show, they had places where you could go to a $1.50 show.
True - I recall a matinee was $1.00 - it was one movie threatre that had that price. $100.00 on snacks and a movie? Movie theatres now serve stuff like pizza

We used to go to a double feature for a dollar each on Friday nights and a matinee was even less. Now a Senior ticket at a matinee runs $10 and then the movie houses have the nerve to complain about having the recorded films ruin their business? If they charged reasonable prices people would still prefer to go out. It should be half that price. Then they might get a good audience. We never buy the overpriced snacks and have a card that gives us freebies but we save the points for free tickets.

My hubby and I would rather wait for whatever movie to come out and watch it on our tv. When we used to go to the theatres we would take our own snacks.

We did too then my husband realized his teeth were taking a beating and stopped altogether.

I agree, it is much better to wait for the movies to come to tv. You also get to watch it without other people ruining the movie with their noise.

I always go before 3:00, and eat a little before I arrive at the theater. I usually bring a bottle of water, but am not obvious about this. This strategy saves lots of money, and I don't have to drive after dark. I also check rotten tomatoes to ascertain whether the movie is worth $8 of my hard earned money. Most theaters knock a dollar or so off if you tell them you are over 62. Just make sure you have a photo ID, although I have never needed the proof.

That used to be the price around here but it has gone up to $10 for a senior matinee.
