I know this mixing of colors, plaid, flowers, and Persian designs appeals to some. To me it causes loss of calm feelings. The walls seem far too dark along with a decent floor.
With you on that, darambo. My Dearly Beloved would refuse to sleep in it - he detests the color purple in any shade.

I agree Darambo and aknan, not sure I would get a good night's sleep with the colour scheme. My bedroom walls are a pale lemon. Very restful and cool for our climate. Hugs to you both.

For a teenager daughter I'd paint the walls purple. I don't like the wall paper. I don't like the bedspread either. I watched a tv show and a woman walked into a house with a realtor. She took a glance at the wall and said oh wow never seen an aubergine wall. My parents had their room walls a pale lavender color. If you live in the south becareful of the Kane toads and the Oleander plant. Both are extremely deadly and will kill an animal within 45 min. Ugh! Wish I'd feel better - 3rd month with daily pain in 3 places. Maybe I'll bake something to distract from my upcoming surgery. I want another body lol
