My mother use to tell me to "button your lip". Well now I have her button box collection...so now I know where to find one or two when I get spunky! LOL

Looks like my Mom's tin button box---so full of buttons and yet I've only used five or six of them since the 90's. Most garments I find have an extra button that comes with it anyway.

I have some of my Gram's buttons. On one card there are 14 buttons wired there and the price is marked 10 cents. On another card has five buttons for 15 cents. I think they may be called "shirt" buttons. I have no idea when nor why she bought them - they are "new" fastened to their little cards. She was born in 1895 and lived for 90 years.
