I decided this time around I would do the checkered background first. Needed a challenge today, as I am in a funk. Cut down a large tree in my yard and didn't know there were baby doves in a nest. They didn't survive and this morning saw Mama bird looking for them. I had to cry.
Aussie I need to do that also
I have so much thread and fabric I have give some away and some to a thrift shop
I'm using some to crochet rag rugs
if I could had all this when my son and daughter were young
they would had more clothes
Hi dbnc - I think we need some sort of a prod to get us going lol. I will be 77 on Tuesday and I dearly want to get rid of lots of stuff so it will not be someone else's problem to sort out. But the spirit is willing and the flesh is tired lol. God bless you. Hugs.

I was 77 in April and I am disabled because of my back. My flesh is very weak.

Happy birthday way back then, we are both 1940's kids. Hugs.
One day I decided that I was going to finally put our photographs into some order. So I ordered a bunch of black 1 1/2inch ring binders, a couple of reams of copy paper, tape, and a gazillion sheet protectors. Then I sat on the living room floor with about 4 cardboard cartons full of pictures, ours and my parents' that we inherited after mom died and started sorting all of the boxes into piles. Then came the task of mounting the pictures and filling the binders. When I finished I would up with 29 filled binders. I've added 4 four-inch binders since then of our trips to the UK. (LOL, then I had to buy a cabinet to keep the darned things in! )
Love the rainbow spools of thread. My sewing days are over, not that I enjoyed it or was very good at it anyway. Liked to read books more than sewing patterns.
