The many small green islands featured in this jigsaw puzzle belong to Papua New Guinea. The Raja Ampat islands are famous for their incredible clear waters and hidden lagoons.
How stunning this area looks. I would need to pay a native with a canoe or rowboat to slowly wend our way around the lagoon. Fat chance that will ever happen, but we can still dream.
Hi Elijah, have an appointment to have my eyes checked on Monday. Always have to be vigilant when diabetic. Thanks for caring. Hugs.

There is always something. Just had 2 weeks of a bandage on the side of my nose--some little cancer thing, but had to have it taken off and stitches.in it..Now just have a little bandaid on it with some vaseline until the scab falls off.
I would love to see that part of theworld. It's one of the few areas that probably doesn't have a MacDonald's or a WalMart. I was just talking to a friend who once lived in Europe about how it has changed and I was lamenting the homogenization of cultures that has taken place so that each country no longer has a uniqueness to their dress for example. I used to like making drawings of the different "native" costumes around the world. I even had several dolls dressed in their country's native outfits.
New Guinea is the second largest island inthe world after Greenland and before Borneo a near neighbor.
Hope you are able to satisfy your "exploring" spirit some day.
I was watching the show House Hunters International and it showed a family moving to Papua New Guinea. A 3 bed town home there next to a dirt road, over $7000/month. I can't figure why so expensive, many places the program shows in Africa too.
