From what tree did these leaves blow?
And as they gather on the ground
To whose hand will the hoe be bound?
Did this one come from that little tree?
And that one from where? Can you see?
The brown ones, in the corner stand
And the gold ones from that tall and grand.
As to who must hoe, I know that not.
Prob'ly the first soul whose shirt is caught.
You think me? I don't think so.
My mother is calling and I must go. - nlb
We had few leaves this fall, it was gree & then snow. don't know what is going on. Is anyone else superstitious about how many snows the winter on the day it falls. Ours would be 15!
Great fall scene. and do I have the leaves to clean up, but it is raining so they must wait for more to fall and dry up. It is a sad time for me, cause I hate to see the yard grow barren. But too soon we will have snow and all color is gone. til next spring.
Me too, Cindy. The only time I feel more depressed is when I have to take the Christmas decorations down. I now keep colored lights up all year to "ease the pain." There isn't anything for the flowers unfortunately tho I do try to coax some thru the winter.

All to soon we will be enjoying the white of the snow and the freezing tempertures, and the slippery conditions. So much to look forward too. Sorry, but my mood is not the greatest this am. Too many rainy days.

I get the rainy day boohoos too. I HATE winter. According to sites on the internet our area has as few sunny days as Seattle so that should give you an idea of why I want to move. When it hits I just want to curl up like a bear and sleep it away.

Sorry for you people that get the winter blahs. I'm in central Florida, so I get the summer blahs cuz I hate hot weather.
As for decorating, I put up my fall decorations the end of September and Christmas as soon as Thanksgiving is over. I keep those up until the second week in January and then immediately transition to Valentines decorations. If Easter is late, I put up St. Patrick's Day decorations in March. If Easter is early I skip those and put up my Easter/spring decorations when I take down my Valentine decorations. By the time Easter is over, I'm finally decorated out and ready to go to my year round decor.
Thank you team for this one, seems we all will be using a rake with the leaves now falling of the trees, but if one keeps them dry we could use the for lighting the bonfire as this will soon be upon us, When I was younger I used to love walking through the leaves and what joy we all had doing something so simple, and cost nothing. Thank you for bringing back these lovely memorious. Santa.
I have a question Santa......when you say thank you "team" I don't know about a team.....What team? Thank you Santaclaus

The team of the crazy4jigsaw staff that makes all our fun possible! And they occasionally give technical support when you are not expecting it. Sorry, Santa, I just had to answer and get myself noticed! nlb
