'Tis the Christmas Season
When the Christ child was born,
On a midnight clear
Near the edge of dawn.
He was born of a virgin
In a Bethlehem stable,
Only a handful knew
Of what the Saviour was able.
He came that we might
Have life eternal,
To forgive all our sins
Save us from fires infernal.
As Mary saw her child
A tear crept down her face,
She knew what was in store -
She knew she'd need His grace.
And Joseph standing beside her,
His love just showed on through,
God had spoken clearly to him
And told him what to do.
The animals in that stable
Were quiet and standing still,
They too sensed what was happening
Was within God's mighty will.
This child born of a virgin
Was to live just 33 years,
His short life fraught with sorrow
And later blood washed tears.
He came to earth to free us,
To give us eternal hope,
So when troubles come to taunt
You'll have the strength to cope.
So remember amidst the bustle
As this Christmas Season comes,
You have hope for the future
In Jesus Christ the Son.

If I can get Hazel's Permission, I would like to chance one thing when I read it in church. I would like to change it to "Christmas Season 2016 " I will leave the Copyright at the bottom intact. I would tell them, that tho it was written in 1994, it still holds true today.
