Isn't it funny how the puzzles suddenly makes perfect clear pictures with tust that one right piece placed...in mystery I hadn't much idea what all the lines were!
They are great surprises sometimes, dbnc2. Not always what I would have chosen to do but enjoyable all the same. Have a blessed and happy day and keep puzzling :)
"School days, school days, dear old golden rule days,
reading and writing and arithmetic,
taught to the tune of a hickory stick"...this is a song I remember from my days as a young school girl. Anyone else head this one?
Oops..misspelled a word. Meant "heard", not "head".

The rest of the chorus is:
You were my queen in calico
I was your bashful, barefoot beau
Any you wrote on my slate, "I Love You, Joe"
When we were a couple of kids.

reading and writing and arithmetic,
taught to the tune of a hickory stick"...this is a song I remember from my days as a young school girl. Anyone else head this one?

I was your bashful, barefoot beau
Any you wrote on my slate, "I Love You, Joe"
