Good news prayer warriors: I passed my Theology and EDUC 202 with an A. Lowest grade was a 90 which was enough to make the A grade., Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. I am now doing GEOG 200 plus EDUC 303. This is going to be a hard 8 weeks. I pray that I am up for the challenge. I know God is with me as all my wonderful friends here on C4J. Thank you and God bless each and everyone of you.
Fantastic, mamag! So happy all your hard work paid off and in spades, too! Your courses sound interesting, which always helps on tough material. May the blessing continue...

Thank you all. I just hope I am not sounding like I am bragging. I just want to keep you all up to date on how I am doing with school. I was talking to some teachers after my Good News Club meeting yesterday and told them what I was planning and they suggested I go for my Masters to be a certified teacher. I am not sure if I am ready for that step.

Mamag, your teachers believe in your abilities - they paid you a high compliment with that suggestion. Weigh the time involved against your age, time and money and take it from there.
You're not bragging! Hugs.

Mamag, do you teach Good News Club? I am active in CEF.

Coravee,
I am active in the Good News Club and I teach the kids and help them memorize their memory verses. I love it. The kids are so amazing!! We are trying to get more churches involved for the schools in their area. We have already got about 1/3 of the county to join in. I am glad to see you are involved with CEF. We need to get more churches and schools involved in our kids' learning about God and who Jesus is. God bless and have a wonderful way.

Thanks! I couldn't agree more. If only pastors would realize how much emphasis Jesus put on children, we'd never have to worry about an operating budget or enough workers.
Social Security giveth and Social Security taketh away. Praise the name of the Lord for He blesses far beyond the imaginings of the human heart. Though Soc. Sec. took away my widow's benefits which basically amounted to the amount of the raise I just got, I am back where I started I still know God can and does surprise us with blessings of great magnitude and He does not take them back again. God is good and I love Him with all my heart.
I feel your pain...they 'gave me a raise', then raised Part B cost to equal the raise I'd just received...but you're right. God is on the throne and completely in control!
They don't look like any I plant, more like roasted pumpkin seeds one puts in salads.

They look like shelled sunflower seeds to me.

I thought of sunflower seeds too, but it threw me off with them being in a planter. It shouldn't have tho, since the seeds have to plant themselves to become sunflowers! :0
I don't buy seeds either but only because I can't get on my knees since the replacements. I want to plant some Daffodils and anything that I can just dig a whole and put in some bulbs. I am in a kind of shady area. Any ideas?

Me, too - I don't have a good place to sprout seeds.

Mamag, Daffodils do very well in wooded areas. They might bloom a few days later but will last a lot longer. Most other spring bulbs do OK as well, it seems their leaves get sunshine before tree leaves come out. And if you can get plants of Virginia bluebells, or of bleeding heart, they do well in shade. Also hostas for later in the summer. Some have large blooms, and some are fragrant. Any of those are easy to plant--make a hole and drop them in. fill the hole and pack it down a little with your foot.
