Pics like this do make me homesick for oceansides. Grew up in Mass., stationed on coastal USMC bases, now live in the midwest. The sound of the tides bring a sound of peace to me. Guess I'm glad to have the memories of the coasts even if I have only the Missouri River to look at.
Dbnc2,
I did not see your question until today, a bit late to answer. But, maybe you will see it. Yes, I was at Camp Lejeune from Nov. 1951-March of 1952, attending Supply School at Monfort Point.

I was in Supply School from Nov. 51-March, 52. Then back to Parris Island for a few more months and then to my final base at Pendleton. I loved The Corps and intended to make it a long journey. But, my wonderful man entered my life; we married and were together for 50 yrs and 1 day before his passing. We raised 8 children (probably Boot Camp Style, to hear them tell it). LOL. But we must have done something right.....they are all good kids who still speak to each other as well as to me. For that, I am extremely greatful
Now this looks a challenge, how does one get into hammock without looking like a idiot. Will the palm tree be strong enough?
I would enjoy lying back with a glass of wine and some chips. but, getting into hammock is the challenge..

It is in the 60's this morning but it will go down to the 40's this afternoon, the heat is on here. Have a Great Afternoon and Evening to you and ALL!
