I am nostalgic about slot machines that paid jackpots in coins. What a lovely exciting sound they made pouring into the metal catcher thing. It was a "dirty" business and got your hands all black--filthy lucre? Who cares? That was part of ie! Now all you get is a little piece of paper. No ambiance!
How true! I too miss the sound of those quarters crashing down!

Miss going to Vegas. Went a lot when I was still working...now can't really afford it. The Indian casinos don't pay as well and don't have the pizzaz that Las Vegas has or the great shows. Oh well..good memories.

I don't like to gamble but these machines are very inviting. I would have wanted those coins also if I did, Starrphyre. Only saw Vegas in daylightand only in passing. Not inviting from the airport or highway.
