Isn't this just the most precious little thing. Even though I see them quite often here, but they are just so sweet, love to watch them play. Where our house is located is right next to one of their migration trails, so we see adult and baby deer and elk. Be safe.
Never seems to improve at the moment, I am waiting to go back to hospital to see the Prof. and hear what he has to say, and where we go from here. I now have Morphine patches which help a great deal with the pain, but how long before I am addicted...I hope that is a joke. Thank you so much for asking. God bless you and yours.

:( I will keep praying for a healing for you, God Bless!
I have a doe who gives birth across the stream behind my house She usually drops twins They hang around almost year round Guess they know they are safe here
Jas6415 I want to come live at your house! I used to live where we had deer, but now live too close to the city. At the old place, had a neighbor with an open garage/shed. A young deer got 'caught' inside, and was crying for Mom...another neighbor went into the garage, and finally convinced little one to run out. Mom seemed relieved to have her baby back!

Jas, we've had a moose drop her calf in our yard and have another that likes to hang out on the NW corner of the lot. Lots of wild roses grow against the house there and the moose love the rose hips. Isn't it great that Mother Nature sends us these surprises?
Such a beautiful baby with those long, delicate legs! You know, I saw "Bambi" once, many years ago - but never again! I just couldn't handle the scene where his mother got shot :-(
They are beautiful jiggler. There is a debate happening in my town about the density of the deer and what to do about too many of them...many people have car accidents as the deer jump out onto the roads, and they do chow down on landscaping...also carry ticks which make people very ill...I wish there was an easy solution which didn't involve hunting them.

I was disappointed, too. It was such a letdown. Not the usual Disney. I do so love the April shower segment.

Import wolves. Let them keep the population in check. Of course they aren't "safe" animals to have around but maybe with enough deer they won't bother pets and people.

I agree pixipixil - the main reason why the deer populations in many parts of the United States are so high is that the deer don't have any predators. The same problem exists with rabbits and hares. The problem is, wolves, like any animals, including humans, tend to go for the easiest source of food, which is often livestock.

I like the early scenes where all the animals are babies..."You can call me Flower if you want to! " And Thumper is one of my all time favorite characters. But I would just as soon turn off the movie before the shooting and fire scenes...

You are right, Joyce. It's so pretty seeing Flower and the bunnies and isn't there a family of baby quail? But I still like the rain storm the best Drip Drip Drop Little April Shower.

Same here. I can not stand when they shot Bambi's mother.

Oh Pixi and JoyceRogers - yes, remember those so clearly - soon as you mentioned "April Showers" I promptly got it on the brain! Trouble is I can't sing it because I can't remember any more than "Pit, pit, pat, little April Showers". And "You can call me Flower if you want to" became a bit of a family saying - so sweet :-)) And I totally agree about wolves: the eradication programme resulted in huge increases in moose & deer populations and huge problems for crop-growers. Mess with the balance of nature at your peril!!!!!!

"If you can't same somethin' nice, don't say nuffin' at all"...if only we could learn to live by Thumper's Moms words what a wonderful world this would be!

Right on, Jiggler. Ther used to be an ad that said "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature." I would tweak that to be "It's not wise to fool with Mother Nature."

Hahahaha! kjd, I forgot that line! That was a mantra in our household when I was growing up and I used it on my family all the time! Great lesson to remember!
Jiggler I do agree with yoou about Bambi.
God bless you all.
