I had that pump for nearly 2 1/2 months after a gone wrong hernia surgery and hospital care for 2 months. Was such a fantastic relief when they removed that pump. Good thing you are home and recovering at your own pace. Praying for you to start feeling a lot better with every passing day.

Aussie, as we know, wounds don't heal as fast then we're diabetic. That's me with my foot right now. However, it's gradually shrinking - leaving a LOT of old skin behind for me to treat when the bandages are finally gone. Wish you could use a product called Soft Touch to hold your bandages, but it can only adhere to itself, so it would be kind of hard with a pump to complicate things! I don't know what's worse, the pump or the drains. May your life get easier and the pain lessen some each day. Hugs - many, many hugs! - and love.

Hello Aknan, had the dressing changed yesterday and although still painful, it is getting better each time. No drains, just the pump and I have the nurse coming in about an hour to check it all out. I am being well cared for but have asked God that the next time He has a job for me I do wish it will be a little bit less painful lol. Love you heaps. Aussie.

Long road to recovery as the wound is the size and shape of a mango and the skin has to grow over it. Dressing changed twice a week and quite a painful experience although the last nurse told me to turn the pump off some time before he got here and that made it a lot quicker but still painful. I must be a tough old bird hahahaha. Thank you for your concern and prayers nhoward. Hugs.
