This looks like the trails we used to ride our snowmobiles on. Of course, there would be no dogs on trail, maybe a deer or two. Oh those are the memories.
HELP please. I currently have a golden who is 12-1/2 yrs old & a mixed spaniel rescue who will be 1 on July 5. There is a golden puppy who is 7 wks old & available for purchase. Should I get a puppy while my best boy is so old or should I wait? Our town allows 3 dogs per household--but my spaniel mix isn't really trained?

If you do get the puppy, train them all together. but really work at it. Nothing like a well trained dog. We got our second dog while my golden was still alive but older too. She enjoyed the puppy and helped with the training. as she grew sicker they would still play together as best as they could. I would say Yes, but train, train and more train.

Thanks cindyj--Jack my older boy & Maggie My mixed spaniel rescue from TN in a black plastic bag thrown by the side of the road gets along just fine w/ my older golden (esp when it snows). My problem now is when we went to vets yesterday & they found a malignant tumor on his right front elbow. Choices now are weekly blood tests & cell tests, surgery then Chemo. I chose weekly tests-- Oh Cindy--it's so hard, as I know you know. Thank you from the bottom of my heart--XOXO-Grannie

Hi Cindy--sad news for us. Jack is quite sick. Thoughts of a new puppy right now are out. I'll try weekly visits. In the meantime, blessings & luck to you & your pup. Maybe, just maybe--our dogs are spirit dogs & I'll catch some of your Magic!
Glad I live in the south, where it is never very cold for long periods.
