If you go, venture outside the city to Millesgarden, the outdoor museum of the sculpture of Carl Milles. My favorite piece is "Man in the Hand of God", a huge outstretched hand, palm up, with the figure of a man standing in it. It encouraged me to picture myself in the hand of God. Try it!
I just looked up your favorite sculpture by Carl Milles, it really is a thought provoking piece. The had the Millesgarden site, and there were several (all? ) of his works there. Very talented man.
I've never been to Stockholm, my understanding is that the city is on several islands. I guess they are about to receive quite a few refugees from Syria, if they haven't already started seeing them.
It's on the mainland but there are many private islands on the way into the harbor. Was there for a day when we were on a HollandAmerica voyage. My sister and I went back to Sweden and spent 2 weeks looking up our ancestor history in Malmo and surrounding areas. However did not do Stockholm again.
