This was a workout. Put some of the numbers in possible place. That didn't work. I looked for a corner of a piece and then took it around to all the pieces to match it. I just kept at it. I did the108 Classic. Took time out a few times. If you see 3 or 4 puzzles in a row it is because when I get tired of one I go to another and the next day I finish them up. I'm not good enough to do 3or 4 in one day or have the time.

I just looked at the dates. You all did this a few years ago. When I first saw this on a handheld game I got it and thought it would be fun. That didn't last long. I don't even know where it is and don't care.

Good Morning! I hope everyone has a better day than I had with this puzzle!! Blessings to all!

I couldn't even start putting this one together! lol I got to the first piece of the puzzle and thought to myself "this is not going to be a bit of fun! Too much stress to enjoy it." So, I moved on from there. I don't find many puzzles I can't even start, but this sure was one.

And I'll be staying with it, even though, it's a bit of a struggle. No worries, as I get to concentrating and the world goes away. The game itself, no way! My husband loves it though!

If a puzzle just seems like it would not be fun because of the color or whatever, try the USA cut. That one is dependent on shape - you can practically ignore the colors.

Good ideas, thanks!

I wouldn't be able to do USA cut as I'm from Canada and more used to that shape. Anyway, it's done!

I'd love it if we had other country shaped puzzles - it would help me with my geography.

With puzzles like this one, I first do the edges. Then I try to find solid starting points -- like the dark lines. Next, I separate the pieces according to shapes alongside the edges and put in areas of the puzzle itself the specific ones for lines. With the edges done and the lines started and/or finished, I sort the stacks alongside the puzzle, and by this time they almost all fit without doubling on top of each other. From there I can see shapes in the puzzle created by the lines and edges, and I can choose from the shape of the pieces surrounding the puzzle. This one took me 52 minutes in the 192 classic dynamic cut, a bit more difficult than the 192 classic. This one was a challenge -- one to keep the mind working to solve.

Hi LuvsWesterns, thanks for the great description of how you approach puzzling. One thing is "puzzling" me, though: when you say you do the edges first, do you mean you put the whole frame together? because it seems like the solid frame can get in the way sometimes. Just curious. I love to learn from others on here! Thanks...

Hi bopitextreme! Yes, I am a Premium member, so I have a few options open to me that are not available for the non-member free puzzles. I click on the button in the menu to the left of the puzzle for Edges Only, then assemble the frame of the puzzle. The moment you've completed the frame, the rest of the pieces reappear. I then select the option (forget the name) where all the unused pieces are placed around the outside border of the frame. I pull one piece down at a time to the center of the puzzle for puzzles with highlights, i.e., one yellow item, one blue item, etc., and pull the yellows down first, then work that part, etc. For those with no distinct parts, I just pull down pieces one-at-a-time and try to put them into the edges until I have shapes to deal with. As I'm hunting and pecking those pieces, if they don't fit anywhere on the frame, I place them in a "shape" stack along the outside edges of the frame. Some look like people standing up, some like people on their head, etc. Once I've hunted-and-pecked all the pieces and have them in their stacks, the puzzle starts to take on dimensions wehre you can see what kind of pieces might fit the spaces where pieces fit into the frame. I then spread the stacked pieces into the margins. Gets a little crowded until you have about 1/4 of the pieces in the puzzle, but slowly but surely they all get placed in the puzzle until it is finished. I think the Premium fee for membership is well worth it if you do more than one puzzle a day and wish to do more difficult cuts with higher counts of pieces. Some of the other options are great, too. Happy puzzling!

I can't thank you enough for that description, this is going to rock my world. I am a premium member, and use the edges only button, but I didn't know about "pieces to the edge" feature -- which I will use every time now, and do my puzzling your way! What fun, I'm going to get started right away!

Happy you found it! I couldn't remember the name of the button as I was explaining my method, but it's a real time-saver. Enjoy your puzzling! C'ya on-line.

Taffi, The USA puzzle looks like the shape of America. You just do it like any other puzzle. Most the puzzles I have never seen but just look at design and color. It isn't that hard Have done it several times.

I did not think I could finish this one. I had to stop and walk away for coffee and such several times. Finally it started making sense and then it went fairly smoothily
