These luggage's have seen better days! There's one on top that looks like a picnic basket and another in the shape of a birdcage. Odd looking lot. A difficult puzzle.
Phew...one of the more difficult ones I've done in the 300 Classic cut. These suitcases look like they've seen more than a few airport carousels. Darn, my traveling days are over it seems. My legs and feet don't like walking anymore, even though my heart want to!
I'm reaching that edge and my heart sinks. As it is I have to forego hiking to the really best places. Gotta keep to 2 mile RT's at most. It's my feet. They go out of joint.
Tried to hike the Queen's Trail at Bryce 2 summers ago and had to turn around. My legs had started to shake. But I was also having a bad stomach day.

You know pixipixil...it's so darn sad to age in one's body, and yet the mind is still so alive and willing. I was so excited to finally retire so that I could travel, and then found my knee needs replacing, and a botched foot surgery left me with a lot of pain and other problems. It's just so not fair. You are a hiker, so I feel for your loss also.

Not so a big time hard core one but I might have become one if we had lived in Utah. There is so much phenomenal landscape there. Climbing mountains (which we tried once with a gimp-legged dog) was not for me. There was nothing to see for 3 hours of pain and drudgery except my feet. No views. No streams. On top the view was okay but I find most mountain views boring. You are too high to see much except treetops. Canyons are a whole other story. Every step bring some new oddity into view. It's never boring
and you can choose to avoid the harder trails--except those seem to have the best things to see and that's my lament.
When my sister moved four years ago, she bought lots of suitcases from thrift shops and packed most of her stuff in them. She has quite a collection of them now.
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." —Melody Beattie
"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition." —Steve Jobs
All my suitcases, then hubby's suitcases are down in the basement. We have quite a collection. They sit on shelves.I have quite a collection of bags used for overnight/couple of days trips. So, hubby always comes to me for a bag :)

Wishing a day of finding hidden treasures.
