When my son was a teen he had those dot-tailed fish in his fish tank...at least I think they were the same ones. They were still baby-sized.
My son needs your prayers. He is having panic attacks. He has applied for food stamps and they denied him saying he didn't send all the things they asked for but he did send them. He is sending them again. Please pray he gets accepted this time. Thank you in advance. You wonderful people are always so supportive in things like this. God bless you all.
Aren't they picky for such a small amount of help. My son was on them and he only got about $10/wk and he wasn't able to work either. My husband has panic attacks from PTSD from Vietnam, they can be really scary for both of you.

My prayers are with your son. My brother needs your prayers also, he is bipolar and got himself into trouble because he went of his meds, he is back on the meds and waiting to see what will happen to him, he really needs to be institutionalized, he can't manage on his own anymore, he needs some to care for him and make sure he takes him meds.

Thank you, Weenlie for your prayers. I will pray for your brother. My cousin is bipolar and the meds have to be modified periodically and at such times things can get out of whack for her, too. She does not go off them as far as I know, but I pray for her to get the right meds every night. I am sorry your son got in trouble. A nephew of mine also is bipolar and ran up huge debts when he went off his meds...so I pray for him nightly also. You are not alone.

Panic attacks can be so debilitating to a person and unfortunately, for many people, things can get worse if left untreated. For example, if a person gets a panic attack in an elevator, often, that person will start avoiding elevators and then start avoiding taller buildings because those might cause panic attacks.
One of the problems that many with mental health issues have is staying on the medications - many with bipolar disorder or schizophrenia will often stop taking the medications because of the side effects and because they feel much better. I hope everyone with mental health issues could receive the needed treatment without being too concerned about whether or not they can afford the treatment or being embarrassed for needing help.

You are right, Jamie. My son has been doing much better. The food stamps came through and many other legal issuers have been resolved so the panic attacks are gone. I do have relatives with mental problems who are on medication. It is always a difficult problem to get exactly the right balance. A cousin of mine had to be switched and the new stuff according to her father has made her almost a zombie.

I'm glad your son is doing better. Some medications can be really tough to get the right dosage.
As a young girl, I had an aquarium, I remember hours just watching them and listening to the radio. I had guppies, black mollies, angel fish and swordfish, betas and neons. what fun!
My husband and I had an aquarium with those same fish for 30 yrs. I finally got tired of it and the last time we moved gave it to a nursing home.

Hi Basinda. My son had those fish also and the mollies and fancy guppies interbred until we had all kinds of fancy fish. Once I stopped cleaning the tank and told my son he had to do it himself he fed the fish to the cat.

Oh no! I only chuckle because that is so typical of a kid's way out of chores :-)
