It got hot enough here one time that some of ours was actually cooked on the stalk. Only plant 6 plants each week and it was in the 100's and humid that week.

Very seldom do we have even the windows open due to my allergies (take meds year round). You can tell it when you get the elec. bill.

Yes, I was shocked when I moved as we have central air and heat. The bill was twice of the place where we lived before without it. Well it does make weather conditions bearable!

We have gas for the dryer, hot water heater, and furnace in winter, but the rest is elec. so my elec. averages about 3 times my gas averaging. Also doesn't help with a 2 story house and 3 ton a/c., try not to use my oven in the summer.

Ps, if you don't mind give me a hint where you are located, sounds like your area gets warm too.

Near the Atlantic coast, Beantown! Very humid weather sometimes. When you have more than one floor to cool or heat, it gets like that - bigger bills on the utilities.

It get really hot usually in the summer here and the humidty will go down, but we have been having cooler temps & rain later so the humidty has been way up here. Last couple of years we have had temps in 100's from June thru Sept. we set a record last year with one at 113 in late Aug or early Sept. Saw the Bcake, are you a June birthday too. Mine was the 17th (turned 71), had a good one. Hope yours was Great, too!
