I collected teapots for a while, but then discovered I found pitchers prettier. Of course, if I were rich, I would probably go back to teapots, because the fine china teapots are really something to behold.
Ended up in hospital today after another mini-stroke. Had all sorts of tests but got to come home. At one stage I really needed to go to the toilet/bathroom so one of the wards persons took me there and told me to push a button when I was ready to emerge lol, but she was not too specific about which button. So after the deed was done, I pushed what I thought was the button, opened the door only to find about seven people standing there with concerned expressions. Apparently the particular button I pushed was only for emergencies lol. How embarrassing.
God bless everyone and have a wonderful day. Hugs.
Oh my! That would be embarrassing! Blessings to you too!

Oh Aussie, what a scare that must have been. For you for the mini stroke, the staff for the emergency button. I think we all have embarrassing stories we could tell about hospital experiences. Don't get me started! God bless you too and hugs right back. Can't give one without getting one and I could use a few myself. Actually, I have given a few hugs and not gotten one back. Stories for another time.

Aussie you gave me the laugh of the day. When I was doin my nurse training, the ward I was on (working) was relocated to a new phase that had just been completed. A patient I took needed the loo so I put in one and said ring the bell when ready indicating the bell. She did as bid and on getting her out the crash team arrived, all the emergency bells and been connected wrong, you can imagine the chaos for the first few weeks until the changes were made. Get well and stay well, I pray that you will rest in the healing hands of Jesus.

Barbaranne, I am finding nout how friendly this site is, I have never wanted to join in with any other forums before because of the negativity I have found on them, but C4J is so different. Thank you for sharing the origins of your username, mine is very easy too, my name is meg and my e-mail starts with megat, I need easy to remember things like this because my memory is getting less and less reliable.

My name is a play on the nickname for a Welsh person. Taff, but as that name is taken, I added an I so I'm Taffi. Currently living in Canada but I'm so very much Welsh. Welcome to the wacky world of Crazy 4 Jigsaws!

Taffi, I live in Lancashire so been to Wales a few times and a country of such diversity is never boring. Whenever I had seen your name, I thought of saltwater taffy that I once had and so enjoyed.......there I go again thinking of goodies. Hope you are enjoying Canada, despite missing Wales.

Welcome megat. My user name is easy. I didn't realize this was to be more than a sign-on name so I went with my first two initials and my last name. Like I said, easy. Now I will probably be googled and stalked by puzzlers all over the world. God bless you all. Don't know what I would do without you.

I love how you chose your name JIGGLER, it really makes so much sense now, It really does, by the same logic, maybe I should be called twitcher, or maybe that just explains why my times are so poor, right finger twitching at the wrong time is so annoying. AUSSIESAPPHIRE, how did your name come about if you don't mind me asking?

Yes, but bp went up again this afternoon trying to get something done about the tree that caused us to lose power all day. No one wants the responsibility and say I have to contact the owner. I had contact with him a few years ago and he is very volatile, now that would REALLY make the bp soar. lol
megat
Oct 29, 2013
Sympathies about the bp, I have yo-yoing bp, which goes from very high to very low (15 over 0) for no good reason except that it can. What you really need for your tree problem is a whole bevy of beavers to come and take it away to make a good home for themselves, it would solve your problem and be fun to see.
Sorry, tend to get a weird sense of humour when I can't sleep and it's 5a.m.!

Megat - my name comes from a cabin out in the country that my family owned when I was a child. We had to wind this way and that to get to it. The first time we took my grandmother down to the cabin dad remarked how it would be a great place to have friends come to for the weekend. She said, "well, they'll have to try and find it." So dad named the cabin "trynfindit."

Megat - my name is from aussie (Australia where I live) and sapphire my birth stone. Am also a bit of an amateur rock hound. Thanks for the beaver suggestion lol - unfortunately we don't have them here but will see what I can come up with hahahah. Just discovered my sound system also was a victim of the power outage, and so the list goes on. Hugs

I've been in the ER a couple of times in the last 3 or so years. I think they have designed the whole works to be as embarrassing as possible. First they send an ambulance AND and firetruck. I don't understand the last one, like I wasn't on fire don'tchaknow? Both vehicles were staffed with several gorgeous young men. Then after they finally get you in a room in the ER, they send in one or two at a time of young men with movie star looks to make you feel a little worse (older and uglier? ).
And, to boot, believe it not, the last I was there I had a safety pin in my under britches and the X-ray technician had to take it out himself! Agh! Oh woe! So cheer up. Those people see the worst of humanity and I'll bet you were in the good looking group. I have decided to never fall down again and need help! I'm staying vertical no matter what!
Sure hope you are all better now. Many hugs!

1 pin, sveral years ago I had to take one of our sisters to casualty after a stroke, the nurses asked me to undress her (thank goodness) her under clothes were held together by 32 safety pins. Hope that will give you a laugh and cheer you up. God bless you.

I can give you a metal event at the airport when you have to go through a check. My mother had a gun backfire into her face while hunting. She got rushed down to Southern Ontario where her right cheek and eye socket were rebuilt. They used metal staples amongst other things to reinforce the bone as it knit back together.
My grandmother, her mother got very sick. Mom needed to head over. She's rushing around, getting everything together and I asked her...what about all the metal in your face? It hadn't even come to her attention. There's Mom, making a phone call, locating an xray to show all the metal etc.
Went to the airport with her and still remember her having to show the guards that xray.
I dread to think what would have happened if I hadn't said anything. And yes, Mom is OK. The metal is now out. She has a bit of weakness in her right eye with sensitivity to light but good sunglasses help her there. Mom says that God was looking after her during that accident and I believe it.

Oh Barbaranne, what a funny (not really! ) story. You certainly gave me a laugh for my birthday. I think it is time to give your sister some new undies. Wish I were there so I could be the giver of presents on my birthday. I sincerely believe 'tis more blessed to give than to receive. God bless you all.

To all of you with x-ray stories, my son is an x-ray tech. He is just an ordinary - very good looking - guy and has seen pins in his mother's undergarments so they are just an every day part of life to him. Just remember, even the good looking men working in hospitals are some old lady's son. They are used to whatever...

Nib. It would be good to give the sister some new underwear but she died aweek or so later and the community still miss her talking about the old days in the Convent, do not mourn her for she was 94yrs on this earth, it is said that the most precious thing come in small packages, with sister that was so true for she was on tiptoes to reach 4ft 10inches.
Too, busy for me, but that much in front of my eyes & my mind just can comprehend it!
