Looks like our Clara with a little white spot under the chin. We got a black cat from the Pound. My son was a little guy and he called it "Larence" after that TV show lion--was it something like "Lawrence the Cross-Eyed Lion"? Anyhow, the cat ran away. A neighbor kid came running yelling, "Larence is at the park under the sidewalk! "
So we three drove down to the park. The sidewalk was humped up a little due to tree roots I guess. I had no choice! In had to reach into that black hole that gave me the total creeps. Sure enuf, I brought out a black cat. That evening hubby said, "That's not Larence! " We said, "Sure it is. See the little white under his chin? "
Hubby said, "Well, it is the wrong cat. This cat is a female! " So Clara lived with us a long time and we loved her.
The TV show was "Clarence the Cross-eyed Lion". If that wasn't the name of the show, it definitely was the name of the major character! I think it was set in a wild animal park or maybe Africa. Any puzzlers out there who remember this?

Way, way, way behind on my puzzles. Anyway, the TV show was called Daktari and Clarence the Cross-eye Lion was a favorite "actor" of mine growing up.

A sweet and funny story. I have leaned towards adopting black cats because so many people refuse to adopt them. Those and Greys and Torties are my choice. I've had relatively few Tabbys in my life. I'm well on in years and have been owned by many cats. I have a dog now but still claim to be a cat person. The dog was my husband's. She is a very sweet cocker/beagle mutt,
The cats aren't superstious, people are about black cats. I think all cat are neat animals.

I was doped up on pain meds and didn't proofread what I wrote when I made my faux pas.

Carol, you may have told us what situation exists that you have to take pain meds for so I'll just say that I hope whatever it is gets much better. God bless.
