VERY mouth-watering!!!!! I stayed home today and so I didn't have a turkey dinner to enjoy. However, my apartment management team put together one on Nov. 22nd for us.
I'm trying to figure out what's in the bowl between the mashed potatoes and the green bean thing. My mom worked in food service, so all through highschool I got up at dawn to make Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. Pies in the oven first, then the turkey into the hot oven to roast. At our house there had to be black olives and cranberry orange relish on the table! Loved the relish, hated the old fashioned grinder that made my hands sore.
I believe that dish is Stuffing...my favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal!

I don't know...that mystery dish could be candied sweet potatoes (something I'm definitely not fond of - but a lot of folks are). I did my cranberry sauce and Bing cherry salad yesterday. Did the pumpkin and pecan pies and the stuffing today so all we have to do tomorrow is roast the bird, make the giblet gravy and the crescent rolls. YUM!!

I used to love watching my mom make cranberry orange relish with one of those old grinders. I was just telling my husband the other day that I liked they way the cranberries would pop when going through the grinder. I make mine with a food processor now - much quicker and easier.

Oh! Duh me! You're right. It's been so long since I've seen it I forgot.
