Palm trees are not quite this close to our beaches here on the island and tomorrow I am taking coffee makings and a book or two to read and sit in my car at the lookout. Who knows the whales may come swimming by while I am there.

No palm trees on our lake but my son (lives next door) we are gathering for a fry out. My son has a huge deep fryer and we all bring things to deep fry. He will be taking his grandkids tubing in his boat (kids are our greats) I am breading onion rings and making brownies as everyone is hollering for chocolate. And you know us Grannies make the best! So far it looks like curly frys, corn dogs, corn dippers. Such a healthy eat out! But one day! I think I will sneak my zucchini salad over as well. Nice to see all the grand kids and greats! Having my son next door is a blessing most of the time. I get such a kick out of him when he has guest and my husband walks across this yard he will say loudly "and those neighbors who think they own the place". We hold a 99 year lease on the property we tell him behave or he can move his house. Lot of laughter here! We have 430 feet of lake front and we let him build his house next door. Hard to believe he will be married 25 years in just a few days. Love your quotes Aussie!
