Free online jigsaw puzzle of a plate of green sugar peas, red cherry tomatoes and orange carrots. A small bowl filled with creamy dip is placed in the center.
Veggie dip..check. Carrots..check. What on earth are the peas doing there? Never in my life have I put out peas and dip on the same plate. I just don't get it. Guess I'm not a real healthy eater anyway. Like chips and dip better!!
Every thing looks so good. Love cherry tomatoes and snow peas. Carrots look good too. all that's needed is some radishes, mushrooms, celery and bell peppers. would be lovely to sit with friends and family and enjoy fresh vegetables and dip
Me too. I do like raw carrots and raw asparagus. That's it! The rest of the stuff, including tomatoes taste better cooked. We make a tomato sauce that is just tomatoes, salt and parsley, cooked until it's thick and yummy, great with crusty Italian or French bread. I could make a meal out of it, but no raw tomatoes.
Recently found out that if you put the 'stub' (root end) of a celery stalk in warm water, change the water every few days, it will grow a new stalk of celery for you! when it gets big enough, transfer to a garden. Mine is currently about an inch above the root end. I'll give it another week, then transplant. Want to be sure we're past any frost.
Well its been a few months, how is your celery doing? I have the property to have a garden. just have not figured out how to not feed all the ground squirrels.

Celery died a slow death...the heat got to be too much for it. It is actually alive, but no real 'stalk' to it, just a few leaves. I did some research, turns out this is the hardest way to grow celery. Seeds are much easier, figures, right? :-) oh well, a fun experiment!

Next year I'll go back to my wonderful cherry tomatoes. They grow beautifully, and I always get a fair amount. And LOVE the aroma of fresh ones!
Not enthused about it, but I may be missing something!
Fun puzzle to do....
