Before I saw the name of the town, I had thought I had been there before, but I hadn't. Hallstatt, is a fairly well known Austrian village because it's so isolated and because that area has been inhabited for thousands of years and is known for salt mining.
I've been close to the area when I rode the train from Vienna to Innsbruck. I'm not sure if a train goes to Hallstatt, it's built on the shore of a lake.
