You're right on Starrphyre!! Don't you just love the white wall tires too! Oh to go back to those idyllic times. It will never be that great of a time ever again. The America we once knew is gone...so, so sad.

Agreed. We really thought it would be smooth sailing from college to a good job and a pretty home.
I used to walk to school even in first grade and now the child welfare people are saying parents who let their kids walk alone at that age aren't fit.
I road my bike all over the place and was not afraid. Nobody took me trick or treating and you never had to worry any of the candy had razor blades in it or something worse.

Same here. When I grew up, my mom only started to get worried after it got dark. We played baseball in the street in front of out house with the street light as first base and the manhole cover in the street as home plate. The first ball I ever hit broke out the street light and the city man who came to fix it thought it was funny because I was only 9 years old. He didn't even charge my mom for the cost of a new light.
I love this site, love puzzles & there are a lot of free ones. Just found it recently and am considering joining. look forward to the daily and just found this one
