Love the comment by Dan Spencer about the weather. If it weren't for a change in the weather, many people wouldn't know how to start a conversation.

Ha-ha. Spencer gave me a laugh. Love the weather channel, tho. Besides the weather they have net programs. I like the Prospectors.

I really dig that Prospectors series. You never know what they will uncover, with the prospect of getting rich.

Mount-ing excitement all the time. Plenty of cliff hangers. Hard to keep a stony countenance with all that going on.

Makes you wonder what they will unearth next.

If anyone should axe us why we pick that show I guess you could say we just dig it.

Exactly. We used to live on a river and it had the same effect. I miss it terribly. More as the years go by.

Hi aknan, how was the trip. Been a busy couple of weeks for me and very hot, so by midday I run out of puff lol. Hugs.

Not so great a vacation - Richard broke a rib when he slipped at the pool one evening. I have a pinched nerve in my back that decided to flare up, so we both had to deal with pain. Luckily, in Mexico, you can buy painkillers OTC, so we managed to be comfortable. Will write when the office slows down a bit.

Oh ouch! Both of those injuries are very painful. I'll never forget when my father had back problems. He had a ruptured disk and ended up having surgery. I've been to Mexico as well. In Alaska you have to becareful because of bears.

Take your time, I know I am in for a nice newsy email. So sorry about your pain (and R's) - at least I wasn't there, so you didn't have to put up with a pain in the butt - oops am I allowed to say that on here lol. Hugs.

I think the bear theory is about like kangaroos hopping down the main streets in Australia lol. I could be wrong of course - hugs.

I would think it much neater and far less threatening to meet a kangaroo than a bear. Once, while camping overnight on top of my in laws' hay field, I relieved myself near the tree line. Before long, a bear was right outside our camper snuffing his little heart out. No wonder I gave up tent camping.

Hi retirenow. Have to be careful with kangaroos, I got too close to one once and his front paws are like hands and he grabbed my sweater and then went for my purse and scared the fire out of me. It was a long time ago, but have kept a safe distance from them since then. Hugs/
