Cindyj28 snakes are not native to the Hawaii (all the islands) so if you see any they were let loose. Hawaii is pretty tough on what creatures they let in the state. I went hiking in the jungle and before we left the only thing we were told to watch for were wild pigs, pretty mean. They do have bigger bugs than we do.
The islands of our 50th state are enchanting with their tropical leaves, rainbows, and waters like this one. I had the opportunity to visit Maui and was amazed at the size of the snails, which easily must have been a foot long.
