This is a jigsaw puzzle of wheat toast bread with whole grains on burlap placemat. The slices are the perfect thickness for getting crisp in a toaster.
My oldest daughter lives in South Carolina, just outside of Columbia. They should be getting all the rain from Florence right about now. I know she lives on a hill in a nice area with good drainage, but I still worry. Love the quotes, especially the one from Scott. Blessings!

I remember when stationed at Camp LeJeune, NC, in the winter of '51, it SNOWED. How could it snow in the SOUTH? The gals from Hawaii in our unit were thrilled. The instructor stopped teaching and told the girls to go out and "play in it" and get back here so we can have CLASS.

Nborchardt hope you hear from your daughter soon, I'm sure that would ease your mind. She will be in my prayers along with the rest of people in the areas effected. You be safe and try not to worry, I know she will contact you as soon as possible.

Thank you, darambo and aussie! I did hear from her Sunday afternoon. She said they have rain, nothing damaging, and a little wind. I hope it stays that way!!

So very happy you heard from your daughter Nborchardt. Good she has not had anything too damaging, hopefully the storm will weaken quickly and they won't suffer any residual flooding. They are still in my prayers. Be safe.

Marine5153 that was a cute story. Can just picture in my minds eye, the instructor stopping teaching must have been almost unbelievable, can see the girls out in the snow having the time of their lives lol!! What did you do in the service? My first husband got drafted he became an M.P. in Frankfurt, Germany. Lived there for a year, what a great experience it was for a 19 year old or anyone. Did you go over seas? Where did you get stationed? Be safe.
I like rye bread, but don't buy it because my husband doesn't like it. I don't think I have ever bought rye bread with caraway seeds. I wouldn't like that on my bread, either! Have a great day, elijah!

We like whole wheat bread, makes good toast & also like if for sandwiches. I keep it in the top shelf for refrigerator in tuber ware container. Seems to last the best & the guys like it with peanut butter on it. I like it toasted with tuna salad on mine. Good morning to both of you!

Only like rye bread when I'm having a Reuben sandwich, that I love, but only eat maybe once a year. Do like wheat bread with seed or whole grains. You all stay safe.

Love Reuben sandwiches, I also have to watch how often I can have one, the Reuben's from Macalister's & a salad are really good...also I only eat 1/2 of it & 1/2 of the salad so I can get to meals our of it.

So much devastation in the USA with hurricane Florence - hope you are all safe from it and that none of your friends and family is involved.
Good night and God bless. Hugs.
